My submission for *theme-of-the-week's theme 'You're Killing Me!'. I couldn't decide between my different interpretations so I tried to incorporate them all together. And pay homage to Romero's fascination with the clown zombie to boot.
I know that there are a lot of anatomical issues with this piece. There's a lot less blood than there should be, but I didn't want the whole thing to be black with it. She has some funky innards, but I was trying something new.
The 'inking' technique is a work in progress. I'm still trying to figure out my style.
It was a fun piece to do though. I hope you like it.

I think it's great! I never worry so much about true to life Anatomy in my zombies. I find that if you incorporate a good amount of blood and guts into them, they tend to turn out just fine. If you take my example of the picture 'brains' that I drew [link] you see that the insides coming out might not be all where there suppose to be exactly, but the general idea is there and it gets the whole idea of "ew, gross, a zombie!" across. As for inking, I think it can be hard to come up with your own inking style at first. I'm still working on my inking techniques. I guess in my case, if I've brought the mood across in my drawing that I wanted to then I'm happy with it. I think you're drawing here has defiantly done that, a very cool zombie piece! Kudos!

My hope is that you will come to my pieces with the curiosity of that child watching the bone-chiller on late-night television…it’s dark and there is probably something scary in the basement, but you’re laughing.

It's kind of funny how at the same time I'm going into a dandy fixation, you're in a zombie one. I need to draw a dandy zombie just for you. XD
