I'm trying to develop a personal stylization for some of the characters from Gaston Leroux's Phantom of the Opera. Having outlined a few, I thought I'd give them a swing by pairing them up.

The first is our sweet young lovers, Raoul and Christine. But keep an eye out, I'm looking to do a series with all sorts of options for different predilections.

Sometimes he really does just try too hard. ;)

I'll admit, in my old age I've come out of my Raoul hating. Don't get me wrong, I still have other favorites, but I've learned to respect the Raoul/Christine love. And they are kinda cute together.

Oh, I wasn't hating on him. I mean, R/C is the only thing that makes sense. BUT. Raoul is still very young, and very silly. He listens outside of doors. He busts in places he's not invited. He keeps telling Christine what to do and makes demands. I put it down to first love, youth, etc, but he's not exactly mature.
