This is the first piece I finished for

and

's contest. I'm nervous about it because there are a lot of really amazing entries, but I figured it was worth the effort to try. Their stuff is awesome, definitely worth checking out if you haven't seen it.

I tried a bunch of new stuff. Each character was drawn in pencil and inked digitally. I was going for something clean, like what you would print on a t-shirt. I strongly recommend the full view/download, just so you can actually see the characters more properly.

I love it (well, I love the technique of it anyway XD you know me.)! It does indeed look very clean and I like the pattern of it. I am impressed with how much detail and texture you can give the impression of without using lots and lots of line.
